ALABASTER — Extravagant Love

A woman broke a jar of pure nard worth a year’s wages and poured it out — all of it, without hesitation. The disciples called it wasteful. Jesus called it beautiful. ALABASTER holds that same tension: beauty and burial, luxury and sacrifice. Not comfortable. Not composed. Consuming.
Opens: Davana and gold spilling everywhere, jasmine and gardenia bursting open — the jar cracking.
Heart: Spikenard — the actual oil she used — with labdanum, orris, rose, and lily of the valley.
Dry down: Vetiver and carved stone, benzoin and ambrette — warm skin pressed against sacred ground.
